
Merseyside, UK 13-17 July, 2009
Anette participated on an arts based research project as a creative catalyser with the Aspire Trust for a secondary school in Merseyside. Using participative research methods, the pupils became researchers alongside the ‘experts’. The aim was to capture a reflection on how creativity is perceived in the school’s learning environments and subject matters to help staff develop and enhance their practice as educators.

Stockholm Fashion Week by Berns in collaboration with Antonia Ax:son Johnson Foundation for the Environment hosted the seminar Fashion and Sustainability – paradox or opportunity? where Katharine Hamnett shared experiences from her passionate work for a more sustainable fashion world. Mathilda gave an opening speech and moderated the session.

Otter Inn, lake Mälaren, Sweden. 7-8 July, 2009.
Otter Inn is a project by artist Mikael Genberg. Mathilda and her partner Duncan went to stay for one night, especially enjoying watching the fish through the windows of the bedroom 3 meter below the water surface and rowing in orbit around the tiny cottage-island.

Almedalen, Gotland, Sweden. 1 July, 2009.
Each summer Almedalen, at Gotland – an island off the eastcoast of Sweden, gathers representatives from political parties and a wealth of interest groups for a week of debates and discussions. Mathilda gave a presentation on fashion and sustainability in a seminar offered by the 1.6 Million Club – an organisation dedicated to women’s health.
